Not only did Tacc Support fix my computer faster than I expected, but their employees are professional and caring. When i picked up my laptop, Weston clearly and in simple terms explained how the issue happened and he advised me on ways to prevent this problem from reoccurring. Rare find: Tech-savvy "Geeks" with fun personalities. Our personal computer crashed, and Brian reloaded the proper software and restored everything for us. No appointment was needed. We walked right in and they helped us. Daniel at TACC Support even took the time to download Sony PMB for us so that we can continue to create DVDs and save great family memories.

Quick diagnostic, despite a mountain of machines to be serviced before I arrived. They determined it was my power supply and I told them I could change that on my own and thanked them. A lot of other repair places would have tried to hustle me to do the repair and order parts but, the tech did not. I am not sure what he charged me, like 5 to 15 bucks. Either way, I was happy about good service and a quick turn around so I gave him a $20 tip.

A few weeks ago, my computer contracted a really bad virus that made my computer unusable. The weekend this happened, I had a large amount of papers due (all more than 4 pages long) and I really needed a computer to finish them. I gave my computer to them, and the next day I got it back: in around 24hrs time they fixed my computer, for the very reasonable price of $129.99, and I was able to work on my papers in no time. Not only that, but my computer has never ran faster. It's fabulous. These people are so nice and I know if I had given my computer to another company (like Best Buy) it would have been shipped off somewhere and I wouldn't have gotten it back quickly. These guys are amazing!

I had an out of warranty Mac that had a massive hard drive failure. As an author, I almost had a heart attack knowing that my precious data was in limbo. I had a pleasant experience from beginning to end. They were very clear and concise and the estimate that I received over the phone was consistent with the final bill. The TACC Crew was a great help. They immediately began to help me upon walking in the door. I left my computer there around noon and several hours later they called told me what the problem was. AMAZING SERVICE AWAITS YOU!! My service at TACC was beyond expectations. I'm a college student, so my laptop is key to my education. I was unsure of where to take my computer to get it repaired. My screen was cracked, and i several bugs, i had no idea what to do. A friend referred me to TACC Support, and instantly I was hooked. They were very responsive to the questions i asked, and were very knowledgable with their responses. My laptop was repaired and returned in a timely matter. REAL GENIUS! These guys fixed my computer for 1/3 of the cost that the Mac Store was going to charge me! I put off fixing the backlight on my 2007 macbook for three months because i was reluctant to make the long trek to the apple store. I had heard that the cost of the repair I needed was going to be close to $1000, and I wasn't exactly excited to fight for a parking spot at an inconvenient location, make a silly appointment that wasn't going to be on time anyways, and have to wait amongst hoardes of mindless shoppers. TACC Support is a great find! When my Laptop was hit with a virus which locked it up to an inoperable state I panicked. As someone who is very limited with computer technical ability I thought there was no hope for saving all my essential business data. While I did have a virus protect installed already on my laptop it wasn't enough to save me from the dreaded blue screen of death. Thanks to TACC Support they repaired my laptop back to operational capability, healed it from a virus, and provided a far superior virus protector for a very reasonable rate. Did I mention that I got my computer back the next day? Not only are these guys knowledgeable, honest and straight forward they offered great customer service too. TACC Support is a small office without a lot of bells and whistles. They are in the business of computer technical support and they do a great job. I recommend them highly.

FanTACCstic! A few months ago the dorm that I live in was struck by lightning. Because the dorm wasn't grounded, my Ethernet jack was fried. everyone else I consulted told me that I would need to probably get a new motherboard (an expensive endeavor) but they couldn't tell me for sure until after I took it in to have them look at it (which they wanted to charge me for). Then I went to TACC, who told me that there was a USB-Ethernet adapter and that they would order one for me. All I paid for was the device and shipping and handling. The consultation I got from them was free for some reason and took only one day, as in I gave them my computer on a Friday afternoon and got it back Saturday afternoon. You always hear about hole-in-the wall restaurants being amazing, this would be the computer support service equivalent.

The people at TACC treat you like a human being (rare these days). I used to take my stuff to Geeks On Wheels, but their followup was absolutely horrible!! When I ask TACC support about an issue they have always either been upfront about an impossibility or have SAID they would do something and ACTUALLY DID WHAT THEY SAID. Not many businesses out there that do this. Call TACC if you have a pulse. Go anywhere else if you couldn't care less about honesty, followup, and a realistic diagnosis of what the problem actually is. I've used them since 2008 and don't plan on changing that.

First time was a charm. And the second. I really appreciated the fact that TACC offers free diagnostics and gives you an estimate BEFORE proceeding with any work. Both times that I've used TACC, I've waited a couple of weeks (a couple of paychecks) to come back for the repair. This kind of “postponed” repair really benefits those of us on a budget. TACC stuff are super-friendly. I've been to computer repair places where the techs make you feel like a dunce for having only basic computer knowledge. That's not the case at TACC where the techs and the receptionist are nice, friendly, and don't hammer you with the computer jargon. I hope I won't HAVE to return to TACC support in the near future for computer repair (one more computer problem and I just may go back to typewriters), but if I do have to seek computer repair then it's an easy decision to patronize the company that's provided good work on two occasions already.

Best techs around. I was initially skeptical about their free diagnosis, expecting some Geek Squad level tactic where they would only tell you what was wrong with your computer after you paid them, but TACC was able to quickly diagnose my system (poor, dead laptop), provide me an estimate of repair, and even helped me search for the replacement parts. I have done business with them twice and both times the level of support exceeded my expectations. I easily give them 5 stars for the following: knowledgeable, affordable, professional, local, and honest. Other support firms in my experience (both in big box stores and independent) have not come close to this level of customer-oriented support. I always try to recommend them to others in need of computer repair.

Fair and Honest, the two most important pieces to a service company! While my laptop did not get repaired the way I had hoped, TACC not only took responsibility but is fully refunding my costs. I can wholeheartedly recommend them on the basis of their honesty and fairness alone. They are no technological slouches either. :)

TACC was great! My laptop charger was all messed up and charging intermittently. I was totally unsure as to whether it was my charger or if it was the DC port. I took my laptop to them and I brought up what I thought it could be and they were kind enough to tell me that I just needed a new charger and then showed me what a loose DC port looks like if ever end up having the problem. They got me a great deal on a replacement charger; much cheaper then I could have gotten it off the internet or at a store. And to top it off, it was here within 2-3 days. I was incredibly pleased with my experience. TACC was very nice and they were able to deal with me on a walk-in basis. No line waiting or filling out extensive paperwork. And they are in a very convenient, easy to find location. If I ever have another computer problem they are my first choice for computer repair and I would recommend them 100%!

TACC support had one main pro and con for me. For the pro I would say customer service. Workers were very friendly, helped me carry in my computer tower (it's a bit bulky), and gave me a free diagnostic. They stayed in touch with me in a timely manner so I didn't have to wait very long for service. They let me take the computer back after the free diagnosis to order and install parts myself. Great experiences with all the techs at TACC, Been there several times with PCs and network issues and was treated great and professionally each time. Daniel and the guys have fixed my home PC, work PC and have even made a house call to help set up my wireless network. Each time the problems were solved to my satisfaction and was done at a reasonable (read cheaply). Kudos guys.

Very helpful and informative. They were willing to explain information to me and options available to me in regards to extracting data. The sad thing being that my hard drive was too far gone to do it on site. However, he attempted to do what he could to attempt a retreival.

Awesome. I took my laptop in during the big snow storm we had and TACC support still took care of me. I had an issue with my CPU fan and on the day I went to pick my laptop up and pay for the fan while they waited for the fan to be shipped to them, the credit card machine was down. They were completely cool with me giving them the cash I had in my wallet, which was a bit under the actual price of the part. I'm really impressed with their flexibility. The day the fan came I brought dropped my laptop off a few hours before they closed on a Friday. The repair was done within a couple of hours and I swung by and made the payment for my laptop while I was at work. TACC Support was recommended to me by a good friend of mine. I'm definitely going to continue that chain and recommend TACC support to my friends who have computer problems in the future. The only problem I had with the place is that the location was a bit awkward for me to find the first time around.

This was my second visit to TACC support; the first was for my laptop, and the second was for my desktop pc. These guys are professional and sincere at the same time, that is why I preferred them for the second time. Since I am a student, their price policy was also quite reasonable for me. Sometimes it is hard to understand what is going on inside the silly box (pc:); just as I faced. So they offered a free diagnosis that helped me too much to assess the situation. The repair cost was also quite lower than the market price. In short, I like these guys, their prices, and their way of doing business.Cheers..

These guys rock! As newcomers in town we had no idea who might be trustworthy and reasonably price, so picked out TACC based on reviews we found online. It was really important to me to save data on my laptop and they did that - at an excellent price, in a timely manner, and were super nice on top of that. I'd recommend them to anyone. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On top of that - one of them made an error in what he'd told me my cost would be. They completed repair (very quickly) and when he realized the error, Daniel insisted on charging me what was quoted even though I offered to pay for the work done. He wouldn't hear of it, saying that the reputation of TACC was more valuable. I concur, and use this anecdote to illustrate my respect for this company.

I had a very positive experience with TACC support, even though they were not able to assist me with my problem. Basically, my hard drive crashed, complete with the awful clicking sound and the blue screen of death. After looking around the internet and asking some friends for recommendations, I settled on TACC support. They ultimately diagnosed my problems as a full on hard drive crash. While they were not able to retrieve the data from the hard drive (fortunately I had most of it backed up), they did recommend other companies who could do so. Perhaps most importantly, they didn't charge me for their diagnosis. All in all, a great experience.

They are so friendly and helpful! I have moved on to a Mac now, but I before I had this laptop I owned an unreliable PC that caused me so much trouble. Needless to say, the TACC support crew was not unreliable like my laptop was!-------- They have fair prices and were quick and efficient with my computer repair. This was especially nice because as a college student, I live out of my computer! If I ever have issues with my new laptop, I will definitely call them again. If you're in the North Texas area, don't waste your time going to Geek Squad or Apple, visit them!

Great service. Brought our business computer in and they had it back the same day. They even added some free virus software that was needed. Plan to bring my personal laptop in for repair. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

I had a laptop repaired where I spilled coffee, they replaced the keyboard efficiently, however one of the keys immediately came off, this was probably a gateway manufacturer problem, so I will still give the crew from TACC support a high rating, although, they never got back to me with an estimate for my broken computer.

The service that I received from Daniel and the people at TACC was excellent. As a first time customer of tech support, I was unsure where to go. I called several places, but TACC was the only place that answered my questions up front. I was having by son's computer worked on for his collage use and was a little worried about privacy issues. Daniel was very up front about what they would do to preserve my son's data and privacy. I was met at the shop by Daniel who was very helpful and honest. The computer was left and returned when promised. The computer ran like new and all the critical files were saved, as well as my son's college work. I have and will again, recommend TACC to others. Chris was very helpful. I haven't ever received this kind of customer service from any other computer tech place EVER. As soon as I called he explained everything to me and when I came in you can tell he was genuinely concerned about my problem with my computer. There was no faking. He sat me down and explained everything that needed to be done and answered any question that I had regarding computers. I could tell he loved his job and loved helping people.

My family owns quite a few computers, and I have utilized TACC Support on several occasions: sometimes for cleaning up viruses and sometimes for repairs (my college-age daughter is a bit hard on her computer). Our strangest repair involved the power cord connection having gone AWOL from my daughter's computer. Although the technicians said they had never seen anything like it, they were able to find the needed part and install it in a very reasonable time period. I have always appreciated the professionalism of the guys at TACC Support. They answer questions clearly and fully. And their work holds up. I've been thinking about calling them to talk about adding more memory to my notebook computer because I know they'll give me good advice. I can't imagine taking one of our computers to anyone else.

Aside from Apple, there aren't many places that will work on Macs. I was thrilled to find TACC. They were the only place that had the knowledge and experience to work on a Mac laptop and considering I live on my computer for work, they were lifesavers. After my computer crashed, I brought it in and the technician knew exactly what to do. I left it overnight, and voila, like magic, it was restored to working order, everything intact. I couldn't be happier...and more relieved! Highly recommended.

I have called TACC for estimates, before, and have consistently received knowledgeable, (and NOT condescending) responses, in a timely manner. Their rates are reasonable, and others I know who have used them are ALWAYS well pleased. I don't often have the need for computer repair, but when I am ready for help, TACC will be the first and only place I call.

There were multiple problems with my laptop (the thing would not even load windows at first) and TACC fixed all of them for less than some other places will charge for the diagnosis. When problems persisted they continued to assist me until my computer was not only fixed, but better defensed against future issues.
