Arlington, a city within Tarrant County and the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. According to the Census Bureau in 2007, Arlington had an estimated population of 371,038. History

White settlement in the Arlington area dates back at least to the 1840s. After May of 1841 and the battle between Texas General Tarrant (who Tarrant Count is named after) and the Native Americans of the Village Creek settlement, a trading post was built at Marrow Bone Spring in the Arlington that we know today.
